PostHeaderIcon Hello World! v1

Hi there.
My name is Jota and welcome to what I think it is going to be a fun and involving project.
So, what is "My ideas for Google"?
First of all, these are both mine AND other contributors ideas. It's Our ideas for Google. "My" just sounds better.:)

Imagine you have an idea. A really good idea. For you it might be something you would like to use in the future, like a completely new product, or simply something that you would like to see changed, like a feature that you feel that its missing in a Google product.

The aim of "My ideas for Google" is to provide a space where everyone could share their thoughts and ultimately, bring them to life.

So, what is the idea?

It's really simple and I will give a real example of mine:

I've been using Gmail for quite some time now, but every time I see a email I dont like, I have to press delete and return the Inbox.
Well, wouldn't it be cool to just skip into the next, following email instead of going back every time?
So, I went into Labs and I used the "Suggest a Labs feature" and I got sent into Gmail Lab's feature suggestion forum, where I suggested "Delete N' Next>>":

I would like, i mean LOVE if there would be a way to see a e-mail,

press delete and skip to the following mail instead the Inbox all over
again. I mean, I have hundreds of mails to see because I went on
vacation and some of them cannot be considered rubbish even with the
right labels. Heck, I get my brother's mail with "Multiple Inboxes"
and it buggs me off.
I want to use Gmail all the way, but this kinda throws me back to a
desktop app...

Sorry for the Engrish.
I hope someone read this. At least I shared my love with the big G.

As you can see, I was not sure if my message would be read by someone, compressed in what seemed to be, an ocean of posts, but most surprisingly, some days later, user laf2662 read it and answered!
I keep checking Labs for this feature. Sometimes I use gmail on my
iPhone instead of my computer just because the iPhone works this way!

Not only did we shared the same idea, but he also mentioned a alternate way of doing this. But the message is still there without any feedback and it doesnt seem to be a very dynamic system.
So as I was wondering if there was a space where Googlers, like us, could share their ideas, I came across some spots where people said you could do it for your self, and you should patent the idea so you dont get robbed, and such.

So, if I have the idea, but no actual knowledge in, lets say, a programming language, it's pretty much a dead end if I want to make "Delete N' Next>>" as a Chrome Extension, while it doesnt appear in Labs, for example.

So, I thought "Well, if I want my idea to be known and want to share it with others, might as well make a blog!"
Our ideas will have the highlight and the focus we want, will be published credited with their creators name and hopefuly, will be integrated into something usable.

And so, "My ideas for Google" born.

How does it work?

As any project, it will be in constant improvement.
I will make it based on usability and improvement instead of personal taste.

In a first approach, users can send me theyr ideas to myideasforg@gmail.com and I will make a post it, fully credited, and as the blog grows, with both mine and other users ideas, status and feedback will grow, so you can rest assure your thoughts will always be known.

Thats it.
This may seem a little rough around the edges, but step-by-step, it will get there.

Lets brainstorm!
